Exactly.. They bought him in June 2022 for 10M and sold him 6 months later for 120M+.. I'd say great bussiness for Benfica..

Nope they need to clear spots, to make the 25 with some of the U21's going over the age limit.

He's obviously a talented player but having now watched him a couple of times he doesn't look the most athletic. He's currently playing as the holding player and not sure that's the right position for him. Perhaps he will adapt as Rodri did for us

Chelsea are an incoherent mess, they have obvious issues with a lack of a striker but have a recruited some good players but with no clear idea as to how they’ll play and have bought at the top of the market.

Chelsea seem to be following United’s lead of buying whoever City are linked with but based on want not need. Koulibaly looks like great business by Napoli. Fernandez is very good but incredibly overpriced, Cucurella doesn’t fit there and Sterling is learning to his cost how good the service he had at City.
 
People slating him and more about the bantz, a kid, new league, team with numerous new players.

Will be next season before we see best of him, but signs point to a great player.

Not seen enough outside WC to comment that much.

This isn't right - we earmark played to play particular roles, at which they'd excel if they joined us.

Other clubs, like Chelsea and Utd, sign players on a scattergun basis, with no real plan or intention for them.

If he'd joined us he'd be excellent, because his role would suit him, and the players around him.

Likewise Cucurella, Sanchez, etc.

Not spending 100 million for him?

He is clearly a talented player and has technical ability that can’t be taught. 100 million is overspending for him but Bellingham is being priced at 130 million so everything is overpriced. I think I would still rather spend that amount on him than Bellingham.

It’s always funny how people are quick to label other club’s players as flops rather than give them time.

I think he’s decent it’s not his fault Chelsea got rinsed on the fee. He’s young, playing in a team that’s been slapped together.

Be interesting how he gets on once Chelsea settle and hd gets to grips with a new league language and culture.
