I got lucky. A old lady posted on here saying she now is selling the one she bought for her husband as he didn’t manage to get free travel. I was the first to reply. It was a £200 ticket but she wanted £400 as she had paid £200 for tests and wanted to make that back. I happily shook her hand and gave her £400. Would of been worth it if we won but hey Ho.

I didn’t have a ticket for Porto until the day before my flight. If we get there I will be there and somehow get hold of a ticket / gain entry.

Enter the UEFA ballot now? And choose I’ll go the the final anyway option…
I got two cat 1 seats for last years final.

Okay thanks mate. I've got flights and hotel booked so will be gutted if we get there and miss out on tickets. I'd probably still go and hope something is sorted while I'm out there.
 
Use Skyscanner for flights. Search UK to Instanbul. Luton to Instanbul Thurs to Sunday £250 and 3 nights accomodation with breakfast 3 start hotel £140 for 2. Hotels are cheap. I have booked one that can be cxl in June just in case we make it. I am sure the club will charter flights, but it can be done on a budget if planned

People that can cancel their hotel if we don't get there.... don't the hotel also have that option, cancelling at the last minute? They can do so and then charge 3x the original price.

Never happened before with Booking.Com so can't say whether they can or will..

Does anyone know it may any difference for the draw if you put only if my team makes the final?

Thinking about it now one may be done soon and one after the semi finals.

Probably not, I selected “support Man City” then chosen to be selected if city aren’t in the final. The ballot closes on the 28th of April

Ah is there 2? I assumed there was only 1.

“A total of 47,200 tickets out of 72,000 are available directly for fans and the general public to purchase. The two teams that reach the final will receive 20,000 each, while the remaining tickets are being offered for sale to fans worldwide via UEFA.com.”

Looks like there is 7,200 tickets for the ballots, Would be interesting to know how many people apply, all I know is it will be enough that I will stand zero chance of getting one this way haha

I had this happen to me when I went to USA for a sports event a few years back. It was a cheapo Super 8. Cancelled then more than doubled the price when they realised the event was on. When I looked into it, there was supposedly some rule that if you had paid (even with option to cancel) then they couldn't cancel as you had a binding contract. Not sure how true. It was a bit annoying but booking dot com did sort me out for the inconvenience.
 
What area or hotel are people pre booking JUST INCASE we might find ourselves going there? Place is massive. No point going over to the Asian side I presume? Seems like a trek enkugh from the airport to the city and out to the ground as it is.
