Unfortunately hanging around any of the 'big teams' squads long term gets you into that conversation - look at Neville. One of the things I always find crazy is how often Azpilicueta gets mentioned in the conversation for best right backs in Premier League history.
He was solid enough for a few years but that was a long, long time ago. Sort of like Zabaleta without the longevity and consistency.
For years he's not really offered anything other than being a bit of a shithouse. He's got nothing when he's on the ball, he's never been athletic and his one on one defending hasn't been worth shit for a long time.
Drogba and robbenCrying out for Zola this game
Ah now, come on. We all like a laugh and a joke. But wumming is against the rules of the forum.3-3 anyone?
Kepa doesn't translate to "keeper" in any language.kepa means pile of shit in madagascarian language
He is stuck with the terrible squad. Nothing he can do about that.Lampard has done nothing to change it
It's not butter ?I can't believe
What? He took off the striker who they couldn’t get the ball to for another striker they cant get the ball to. GeniusLampard has done nothing to change it
Yet both are still out thereThis winger for chelsea is giving sterling a run for his money in the useless stakes
I hope Bernado reads that. Well said.A few players, after leaving a Pep managed side, have appeared (or said) to have lost their passion for football (whatever level they had, anyway; we have to remember for us it is a dream, for them it has been an all encompassing pursuit that, for many, has required major sacrifice and even suffering at times).
I think it is a case of eventually hating the constant demands to be better, the pressure to perform at the highest level just to play, and wanting to go elsewhere to feel more free and hopefully enjoy yourself more, only to realise that playing for Pep was the peak of your career (both in club achievement and in personal performance), that you’ll likely never experience that level of success again, and often wishing you could go back, but knowing you can’t.
As they say, you can never go home again.
