Premier League (midweek) Games 2/3/4 May '23

This was never going to pan out any other way. Arsenal are a fine team who are wobbling. Chelsea are dogshit this season.

The truth is it's good. It's a good thing. It brings something into crystal clear focus: we win. Everything. We don't ask ourselves questions about what others are doing. The team doesn't say to itself, “Oh maybe this or that is negotiable. If they get this, we can afford to get that…” You can't stop supporters trying to make deals with fate, compromises. But it must not enter the team or coach's heads.
There can be no relaxing tomorrow night. Or any other night. Or day. Till it's done.
We win everything.

It’s quite striking (pardon the pun) how bad Sterling has been this season.

Almost if Pep’s system, tactics, and team selections maximised his strengths, minimised his weaknesses, and generally made him a much more productive player than he otherwise would be in an ‘average’ setup.
He was dog shit for us in his last couple of seasons. Fair play to him though drawing such a large pension at such a young age.
