I realise this will likely come across as sour grapes, but as long as he doesn’t go to either Liverpool or United, I’m not that fussed where he ends up.

He’s a great player, with huge potential - so it would have been hard watching him fulfil that at a rival - but him at Madrid I can live with.

Good player no doubt, but I suspect many of us had never heard of David Silva, KDB, Bernado or Gundogan before they arrived at City with less than half the hype this lad has and on much smaller transfer fees. None of them turned out too shabby.

I suspect we will have a plan B and C up our sleeves.

Great player and potential. Was slightly excited that he might come to City. Didn't become obsessed with that idea like Liverpool fans have been the last 18 months.

Interesting. Genuinely thought he'd have chosen to come here given we have Haaland, Pep and he's a young English lad who's grown up watching us dominate but Madrid are a massive draw for any youngster. Let's face it.
