Coronation of King Charles 3rd

I’m sure Royalty can afford to pay for their own jolly, when so many people in the country visit food banks and are in fuel poverty, it just seems wrong.

When the Queen was crowned the country was getting over two world wars and people were not as aware of the indiscretion’s of the Royal’s I know my gran would be glued to the Coronation royals could do know wrong where her generation were concerned.
I’m nosy so will watch him with his crown and try and block out her getting crowned
 
Lambeth Palace has published full details of the Westminster Abbey service, and it includes something their calling an “homage of the people”.

And it goes like this: “I swear that I will pay true allegiance to Your Majesty, and to your heirs and successors according to law. So help me God.”

What a massive cock up expecting people to pledge this to a guy who in 1989 told Camilla wanted to be her tampon even though he was married. In fact they both were.

Never underestimate the British public, a goodly amount of them pointed watches at the TV screen so that Uri Geller could fix them.

It's happening betweeen 11.00 and 13.00 hours. I'll be giving it a swerve, even though I don't have to leave for the game untill 13.30.

I know it's a bit shit these days, but football focus is on at 12.00.
 
I wasnt bothered up till this week but now I am so glad we have booked a little cottage in the middle of the lake district to get away from lol.

Hundreds of people pretending to be royalist or patriotic and havent a clue which way up to fly the union flag. Or bought a cheap coronation flag from China which has got the union flag complete wrong . Personally I find it embarrassing just how many people dont know how to fly our flag. You can go pass builds with 6 or more union flags and only about 50% are the right way up. How can you do that ? Should be all right or all wrong lol. Just look at the flag and do it correctly it isnt hard.
 
Not massively arsed about the Royal Family. I see it as just nice to have and part of our heritage.

But I have loads of crap and tat to put up for Saturday, having a party with home made pizzas.

Bunting, flags, mini crowns the lot. I love cheese
 
Interesting to see how the Dutch have reduced the number of 'Royals' over the years.
The King and Queen there are hugely popular and appear to be connected to the people.
Other European countries have done this also.
Will no be watching any coverage of the coronation ,already arranged an early meet for the Leeds game to avoid it,

You know how after 5 years or so you look back on the photos and they are embarrassing? Imagine Charles will somewhere have a wedding snap with him Cams and the by then under investigation Sunak who's Mrs is back in the states exploiting non-dom status whilst her tax records and sanction busting business deals.
Next to them would be the Trusses - Liz's image fading slightly every day like Marty McFly's in his family snap to reflect who brief her tenure was.
On the other flank is Johnson and Carrie - but its 5 years later - he is split from Carrie some time ago and is 2 blonde's and 3 more kids further on.
