Thought he was very good second half. Brilliant in tight spaces and a couple of nifty things to start off attacks. Glad he got a start today, the jury is still out long term, much as it is for any 18 year old who isn't a haaland or a Bellingham or a foden, but a very promising start to his city career this season.

Even if just for the next season or two he can come in for games like today, let us rest other players, and do a good job (like he did), then that's great. And if in a couple of seasons he doesn't quite push on and he moves on, then that's ok - it's a lot better than what 40 million quid Kalvin Philips is offering currently, but at this stage I think he's doing well and he's well capable of becoming a first team regular if it all works out.

He’s so impressive technically and is always available to receive the ball. Wouldn’t want to have to rely on him at this stage of his career, especially when fighting for everything, but he has huge potential for us.

As other posters have said he has this gift for finding space in tight situations.
He'll probably be a class DM in time which may prevent the need to spend a lot of money resigning Lavia.

He made 2 or 3 mistakes today but still had a really good game. He’s got a great attitude and it’s easy to see why Pep likes him. He’s had a great season.

Always feel like I'm grading on a curve with him as he is so likeable and you want him to do well. But what the fuck! Had a few wobbly moments prior to about 10' but after that he was out of his damn mind! Would have been MtM for me if Gundogan hadn't been so great.

Never want Boulders getting hurt. Never. But if he did I would legit want to see Rico in that 2 of the 3/2 buildup. Just looks born to play that.

I'm a fan !
This lad has a huge future. You can see the talent oozing out of him. The way he deals with the ball at his feet is sublime...Once he gets more confident, his vision of the game will enable him to play KDBesque passes. We have a fantastic young player on our hands !!

i thought he was fantastic most of the game, I feel like Pep is right when he said he doesn't have the experience yet (only 18), he did seem a bit lost when were struggling for control at the end of the game and we definitely needed Rodri to come on. He's always eager to get on the ball and make something happen, great talent.

Chuffed for the kid , he is more than capable to be in this squad , genuinely can’t believe he is 18 , proper intelligent footballer always try’s to go forward.

T

The first 15 minutes.
Gave away 2 and slipped for another.
Improved after that and ended up having a very good game.
Brings great pace to he midfield
Yeah, he wasn't great at the beginning of the game, but improved hugely as the game went on. Carefully managed/handled, as Pep did with Phil, the lad has a great future ahead of him.
