Just watching the lads doing training live on sky sports, going through their paces and they finish the drill and Laporte and Philips give eachother a little hand slap as they pass eachother.

Love the team spirit this group have, they would die for eachother.
Are they still over here or is that training in Madrid mate?

Rooney trying to jinx it.

100% he will be Madrid biggest fan next Tuesday
Doubt it.
Rooney and Keane have no like or allegiance to "european" teams and do give some credit to us when we are playing well.

Both of them can be very critical of United.

Different stance to ferdinand, neville, carragher et al.

Wonder if, with Ake out and either Laporte or Akanji starting on the left, Pep will go with Bernardo and Alvarez in the midfield/wings alongside Kevin and Rodri. Especially seeing as we're away.

Ederson
Walker, Stones, Dias, Laporte
Rodri
De, Bruyne, Bernardo
Alvarez, Haaland, Grealish

Something like:

That's a killer but I think Akanji is a capable deputy out there.
Rodrygo is not a really good dribbler, and I also don't think he has a breathtaking pace we need to worry about it.. The primary threat is from the right side..hopefully Walker is up for it...

On my way to Madrid now.
Let’s give Madrid their dues.
They beat us last year because they were the better team. No need for any excuses.
Let’s hope we can beat them this year.

Currently in Madrid having a cocktail.
Anyone know any bars showing the afternoon English football?

Hopefully it won't be a repeat of the Madrid matches when your namesake was in charge
They were terrible

1-0 aggregate over the two legs was similar to last season’s results.
Madrid usually target the last 15 minutes of knockout matches. Let’s hope Pep already spotted their tricks and come up with a plan to counter them.

True. They are a lot like the All Blacks at rugby, really spring to action at the last 10 or 15 mins

Hello all, I am a city fan living in Madrid. Does anyone know where the city fans will be congregating before kick off tomorrow in Madrid? Wouldn't mind a couple of pints with the lads.
