How do you pass the time in the maddening nothingness between matches at the business end of the season?

N these difficult times, I try to fill the time by making ends meet. My voluntary job as a befriender, allows me to siphon off a few quid from every old person I visit, either through cash in teapots, they didn’t know was there, the daft, seeet , old fools, or selling their stuff on EBay. Jewellery does particularly well. I’m even learning about what to look for, no way is any **** ripping me off.
My Nan always left cash behind the photos of us so she'd have it to hand for each grandchild as they visited, make sure to check there.

Mixed bag there! Where are you these days then?

I hate watching on telly, wasn't used to it and makes me feel helpless. Being there in the flesh you can see the patterns of play better and when you shout it feels like you might be heard. Surrounded by blues who are going through the same emotions is much better than doing it on the TV on your own and only having your own thoughts.

Life's changed a lot for me since the years of attending regularly. I'll be back going week in week out soon, just waiting for the kids to get to an age when they can come too. Took them to the FA Cup semi which was hard work, but amazing. Lucky bastards to get to Wembley so young in their lives, even if it was only a semi final!
I moved to the US with the missus (from Switzerland, but has American family on her father’s side) some years back for work and to be near her parents who settling here about 10 years ago, first living in Boston, and then recently moved to Maine (northeast corner of the US) to be right beside her mum and dad as we had our first (and probably only) child recently. Health was going as we moved house, one of the reasons we rushed to have the baby. My condition—and all that comes with treatment—means I can’t really travel home any more. We are planning to return home before I go to the big Kippax in the sky, and that’ll probably be my last big trip.

I went to the open day of our local bowls club a couple of years ago. It turned out I'm not bad as it. Now, I bloody love it. Plenty of comps to play in both at local and county leagues. Last week we drew with a team with 3 present or ex England internationals in it. But the thing I really like is that there is little or no prep required. I can go and have a practice roll up either on my own but usually there's someone around, and be home again in as little as 45 minutes. It's seen as an old people's game but the age range at our club is from early 30s upto 80ish. There's lots of banter and cameraderie within the teams chosen for the external comps. Try it, it's great fun.

No, I am nothing but charming to them. I take their money and jewellery, granted, they don’t get out much so it’s no loss, but never harm them. The way I look at it, their families never visit, so fuck leaving it for them. Cunts.
You are Jamie Vardy’s wife and I claim my £1,000,000 in legal fees.

Now I’m just going to be rewatching last night’s game over and over again to fill the time until the Chelsea match kicks off.

Planning to watch again today when I can semi relax (although I would like the PL a mathematical certainty) before I start de- stress again.

Too many years of typical City.....

We've played prettty much every 3/4 days now since the last international break, so it's not been a long wait for a match
The killer will be the week leading up to the FA Cup final and then another week till the CL
This. The 5 days between RM SF First Leg and Everton was l o n g. However for the team glad it panned out that way ( thanks Murkyside plod/ Eurovisoon) as the time afforded them a bit of breathing and recuperation space.

And it turned out OK....so for the lads sake let's hope the 2x 1 week between match intervals has the same positive rinse and repeat affect in the FA Cup and Champs League Finals results.

*old Blue me still in disbelief we are in an FA Cup final and Champs League Final.
