How do you pass the time in the maddening nothingness between matches at the business end of the season?

It’s always my busiest time in work. Currently working 12-13 hours a day.

Hate how this time of year at work clashes with the end of the season, too knackered to have a good piss up and too many Sunday games (I’ve always hated the last game of the season being a Sunday, it should be a Saturday at 15.00).

I enjoy the close season. Don’t miss football one bit and it gives my liver chance to recover somewhat. I get my sport fix by watching the Tour de France in July and/or important cricket matches like the Ashes for instance this summer. Oh and going on holiday.Quite looking forward to it to be honest.

There's not been much of a break in recent times and with the number of big games and finals we play I don't mind the rest to recover ready for the next campaign! Feel like I kick every ball over the run in!

Work part time these days but mostly go walking in some nice countryside, sometimes with a dog, sometimes without depending on if I’m with my bird, cooking, cleaning, training, DIY, sex, when the closed season comes I’ll likely paint the house, weather permitting and a few other major jobs that need doing

Not sure how I managed to fit everything in working full time tbh, always something to do.

I become obsessed so fill my time looking at all sorts of pointless minor details. I know exactly how many minutes all of the Real and City players have played this season because I was wondering about fatigue and how we compared.

I went to a spin class last night and told myself if I dropped below a certain RPM we wouldn't beat Madrid.

Essentially I go fucking mad!!!! Tomorrow will be horrific. I have many superstitions which extend far beyond lucky pants and socks! I even delete posts I am about to write on hear thinking it could jinx it when obviously it doesn't make a fucking difference!

I think I'm in the same boat as you and my days are filled with the following...

Dog wanking.
Dog playing.
Dog feeding.
Reading. Dog permitted.
More dog walking.
Cooking.
Feeding the dog. Again.
Listening to music. Quietly as to not annoy said dog.
Playing Anno 1800 and CM 01/02.
More dog playing.
You are Roy Keane?
