What is the obsession that people have with this man ? A Leftie thing ? The people who look under their beds every night thinking there might be a Nazi hiding there ?

For what it’s worth, I think Boris is a plonker, but that’s about it. Not intending spending the rest of my life raging about him hoping that some anonymous individual on the internet agrees with me.

Irony of someone questioning people’s obsession with Johnson mentioning Corbyn in his rant. Johnson’s only been irrelevant for 8 months whereas Corbyn’s been an irrelevance for 3 years. What is it with people like you still mentioning him.

The reason we still comment on Johnson is simple really - he is largely responsible for the current appalling state of the country - he lied and insulted us all during Covid - he has cost the vast majority of us significant amounts of money/pushed us into poverty, he has ruined the health service - he has made us the laughing stock of Europe - need I go on - by the way Corbyn did none of the above.

Absolutely right.
The ‘obsession’ with this appalling man, is surely all about the fact that so many could be taken in by such a liar of record and of some repute, and who never had a political conviction about anything ever, except the divine right of old etonians to rule us.
Authors, journalists, biographers and even his master at eton and members of his own family spelled out that he was a totally dishonest, untrustworthy shambles of a narcissist who was unfit in every respect to be put in a position of any responsibility never mind actually being PM.
We‘re paying his legal costs now but we‘ll be paying a lot more for a long time for the legacy of those stupid and gullible enough to swallow his lies.

I know someone who lives in that general area who has had dealings with all the local MPs due to his business. Of all the MPs he’s dealt with over the years which include Heseltine, Grieve, May and Johnson, the only one he said was totally fucking useless was Johnson. Never lifted a finger for his constituents.

The retiring MP said last week that CCHQ had told Johnson tha he has to stand in Uxbridge, and couldn't go to Henley.
The MP also apparently used the words "over my dead body" would Johnson stand in Henley. I doubt Johnson would see that as an issue though.
