Had Russian Doll on my Netflix list for awhile but not got around to it yet, I've just downloaded Pokerface to the Sky box as the wife wants to try it too, looks entertaining at least.

You can take it from me it is very loosely based. Robbie Coltrane did a documentary on it a few years ago that is bang on. My best mate worked on the whole case closely, the whole series is driving him up the wall
 
Stopped watching Citadel, laughable script and Madden and his co-star are truly awful. Reminded me of Amazon throwing money at the Lord of the Rings thing and I turned that off after half an hour.

Just watched the final Succession. Loved this show but what a crap ending and never recovered after episode three of the last series.

Absolutely.
Thought I must admit that I didn’t really understand the series from the off.
I watched season 1, found it uncomfortable viewing, I hated all the characters and found some storyline concepts laughable. There was still something compelling about it so I stuck with it and I’m glad I did.

It was only a few episodes into season 2, when I got my bonce round it being both a drama and a black comedy (gripping but still ok to laugh), that I felt I could really get the best out of it and seasons 2 to 4 were much improved by my head being in the right place.

I strongly suspect that if I watch the whole shebang again in a couple of years, as is my way, then I’ll get a bit more out of it at second viewing.

I felt that way at S3 in fairness.

I'll wait till you finish it before saying what I thought of it.

Ah that’s disappointing as you hope they stick to the basis of what happened. That being said, still enjoying it so will just ignore the whole ‘based on true story’ premise.

I’m going to give it 6 months then do it again. Very few series with characters that are all irredeemably horrible, but it worked and worked magnificently.

Very rare to get such a strong cast of actors with a very well written script, I think it will be some time before I will see a combination like that again. Unlike GOT and Ozark the series finale episode was a fitting way to tie it all up.

I only found out yesterday that Roman played by Kieran Culkin was Macauley Culkins brother and was also in Home Alone. His face had been bugging me from the first episode.
