Obviously anything can happen in a one-off game, especially a derby in a final. However, we’re a far superior side to them, we’re fully rested, have no injuries and have a treble to play for. We’re big favourites with the bookies for a reason, and I fully trust this team and manager. Team largely picks itself:

Ortega
Walker
Stones
Dias
Akanji
Rodri
Gundogan
De Bruyne
Bernardo
Grealish
Haaland

Only question marks really are Akanji/Ake, and Bernardo/Foden.

Come on City.

Without question this should be the team imo.

I totally agree...the FA Cup (albeit against them lot) is a bonus. The Champions League is the holy grail and the reason Pep was brought in ultimately. Yes, we've been really successful, but we have to bring "Big ears" home from Istanbul. Take one game at a time, talk from them lot is "stopping us doing the Treble". If we lose on Saturday but took the Champions League, I'd be very happy personally.
If a straight choice.
FA Cup or CL then completely agree.
Champions League is the must have.
The top trophy in club football.

Now all the champions league storm has died down this game has crept up quickly, I can't believe it's tomorrow. I hate derby games, they're only good if you win, plus I detest being anywhere near their scumbag fans. Hopefully we are at full strength and batter them. I can't remember what the ref is like but he has to clamp down.on the likes of Casimero kicking lumps out of us.
Ref is Paul Tierney. Here are the ref stats for the year. All pretty much the same.https://www.whoscored.com/Regions/2...eeStatistics/England-Premier-League-2022-2023

The ref (Tierny) will be key to this game tomorrow. It is abundantly clear that the rags will use over the top physical tactics to try and compensate for their complete lack of footballing ability. This is the only way that they can try to level up the game. Early yellow cards for the likes of Shaw and Casemiro will hopefully sort that out and our beautiful football will do the rest.

..and 2 "Manchesters" (are playing tomorrow).
I met a geordie guy in work this week and in my initial football conversation with him, I assumed he was a Newcastle fan - he gave that impression; he was aware that Newcastle had had a good season.

In my second conversation with him, he confessed that he knew very little about football, and until this week, when he heard that it was a Manchester derby in the final, he had enquired what a derby was. At that point, he realised - for the 1st time in his 35 years on earth - that City and United were separate teams.

Main thing that concerns me with this game is that our record away from the Etihad against top 9 prem sides is pretty bad. Think we have beaten just arsenal and only Sevilla away in the champions league.

Finals are usually nervy tight affairs think we will just sneak it 2 1
If we go full bore like first half against Real we will destroy them.
If.

Pretty calm for this one

Had no nerves about the Madrid or Arsenal games either, I knew we would rinse both teams and wrote it on here.

Well no nerves might be an exaggeration but still, I just believe we are a few levels above these teams as long as we're at our best.

I'm more concerned about getting a fair game from officials than what the rags have to offer.

As long as we turn up near our best, which I think we will, we will smash them.

I'm getting nervous, hate playing them anytime but so much at stake in this one.
Really don't want them to win another cup and I really want the treble.
C'mon City. Hatrick for the Viking!!

Totally happy with the rest Ric

Bricking it, having to work tomorrow morning so no getting back to Wales for the weekend to watch the game with my boy.
Halesowen pub for me, probably full of rags & dippers
