As I said, they’re the same people who used to shout at traffic at the side of the street and try and catch the Moon at night… then social media came along.

Thick knobheads, thinking their backwards views are legitimised because all the other thick knobheads are on the same platform agreeing with each other.

Echo chamber dwellers always genuinely believe everyone thinks the same way they do, social media is a disease not because a lot of people use it as intended but because a lot of people use it as a platform for their own particular brand of hate.

Exactly this. And yet any organisation that makes money can't be seen to ignore or condone it so they have to react. But it's this reaction which gives it the voice it wants and fuels it. Of course no one condones racism. It doesn't need to be said. But if you don't say it then it looks like you're not trying to do anything about it when to do nothing in the case of social media...or should I say to do it quietly, would be the better option.

It's not their finest moment, that's for sure. Though I've heard much worse. And Everton was perceived for years by many people as a racist club, due to them historically seeming to not having many black players (though that's obviously not the case now). However, that chant isn't, in my opinion, racist. Spanish is not a race, it's a nationality.

Which whilst true (ie you’re reading of the law), we know it’s total bollocks. Sounds like something the French would dream up, then riot about.
