Don’t we have a group of captains? Dias to step in would be my guess. If Gundo goes who's captain? KDB?

Dias was 4th in the list. Going by last year its gonna be KDB Walker DiasDon’t we have a group of captains? Dias to step in would be my guess.
Kev gets too emotionally charged to be captain for me, it’s great as a player but to lead others I’m not so sure. Dias is much calmer and shown he can motivate.KDB with Dias as vice. Dias runs the defence but it’s KDBs if he wants it.
Leadership group of
KDB/Dias/Walker/Rodri etc.
This guy is, sadly, not reliable at all. He is off. All the best to him. Bring in THE RICE!Wouldn’t be City without some sort of drama lol
A thread for this?
This is silly. You don't have to like them. But they are a storied franchise and they just won the league. You making out like they are Millwall or somethingExtremely foolish move from him. Don't know why any serious footballer would even glance at the shit show that is Barca and think "yeah, let's go there". Thought ilkay knew better
There is no better “lead by example” player for me than Kev. Those big games he always delivers and carries the team quite often.Kev gets too emotionally charged to be captain for me, it’s great as a player but to lead others I’m not so sure. Dias is much calmer and shown he can motivate.

Absolutely - sad to see him leave, but we move on as we have after other Legends have left.Seems likely he is indeed off : (
If so, magnificent player for us, he would leave us having won it all, as captain.
All the best to him.
A Captain should carry the team and motivate them in all games not just the big ones… When we see him and Pep going at it on the sidelines during a match it doesn’t screen captain to me. He’s fantastic and I love that passion but we need calm not aggression or anger on the pitch. There is no better “lead by example” player for me than Kev. While True, it's almost impossible to overlook Kevin. He is the best player, City's greatest ever player, and the last and only Member left from the Pre-Pep era.Kev gets too emotionally charged to be captain for me, it’s great as a player but to lead others I’m not so sure. Downgrade to what? As of now we still don’t know who is leaving. You can’t compare departure to arrivals. Each player will bring different qualities. Gundo used to get buckets of shit for not producing until pep allowed him to play further forward. Foden needs to be starting regularly in the middle. Would you say he is an upgrade on Gundo?I think Bournemouth, Sheffield United and Wolves personally but could be close…
PS, it’s a downgrade is all I’m suggesting. I hope we sign a replacement, like Rice
I think he does the same in all games. The fact he does it in the big games is special.A Captain should carry the team and motivate them in all games not just the big ones… When we see him and Pep going at it on the sidelines during a match it doesn’t screen captain to me. second this- PSG got to pay the cash for us to let him go nowThe silver lining is if Ilkay is leaving, I reckon we are less likely to let Bernardo go. Obviously, we would, for 80 million quid or so, but there will be no discounts, and I am not sure PSG would be so keen on him at that price...
