Pearce made Frank Clarke look a world beater.
Years ago Forest won the 6 a-side thingy or whatever it was called 2 or 3 years on the bounce.

Frank had done his thing with us and was snapped up to manage Forest who went out in the groups. I can still hear him now saying he didn't understand what happened....well Fankie baby I fucking did, you got your mits on the team.

And if I remember correctly he scored at City playing centrally and in the next game, Everton away, he was out on the left! Well done for knocking confidence and losing any momentum !!

You could have played Samaras in whatever position you or he wanted for all of eternity and he would have still been fucking shite.

The whole (meagre) transfer budget blown on a total dud. I blame Alan Carr's dad, who was chief scout at the time.

I think he sent Alan to watch him.

I never rated Samaras.........or Carr :-)

Do you remember how desperate we were for any bit of positivity back then. Even a toy was a highlight in the season. Still...I don't blame Pearce for not being able to pull off a miracle. Same as the rest of our managers. (The only 2 that really bugged me were Frank Clark and Mark Hughes).
Didn't Alan Ball bug you?

But did he know/scout them etc?

I remember when Robinho was being done and he had no idea when sky interviewed him playing golf.

Now that may have been an isolated special case but,I only remember him going on & on about fucking RSC.
You can’t have it both ways.

If you blame him for signing Jo, RSC, and other poor players, you can’t say it was someone else, who signed two, who turned out to be diamonds.

He was either responsible for all of the player acquisitions or none of them.

Oh when de Jong,
Oh when de Jong,
Oh when de Jong goes sliding in...

Eni Aluko today on Talksport.....

City aren't in for Rice, Arteta has rang Pep and asked him to put a bid in so it pushes the Arsenal owners to get the deal done.

She actually said that on air.... how does she get paid to have an opinion when she is spouting utter bollocks like that?
