The Titanic

No amount of money paid to me would be enough to get me in one of those things, same with pot holing.

I once did a glass bottom boat to Peacock Island from Benidorm, it included a small trip in a tourist submarine, I was ok in that as there was loads of room but my mate was sick as a dog due to the feeling of being “trapped”.

I’ve also been on avNuclear Sub next to the USA warship The Intrepid in dry dock in New York, it brings it home how tiny and claustrophobic the conditions are. No way I’d go to sea in one of those never mind a Tin Can that squeezes 5 people in.
Where's your sense of adventure :)

Spot on. If the bit about them having to sign waivers is true, then they must have realised there is a serious element of risk involved in the venture. Every sympathy for their loved ones who are left behind, but none for them. What's that saying; play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

Well, you wouldn't need to read anything to realise that going 4000 metres down to the bottom of the ocean in an independent 22-foot vehicle, even a reinforced one, with no cable ensuring power and communication with the surface, is life threatening. Sure, it's been done before and people have lived to tell the tale.
I'm pretty sure those people are already dead. It was some sort of accident that destroyed the submersible. And they may never find it.

Anyhow, my main point was that as a 'highlight' of a trip sailing over a wreck ~4km down, with no discernible way of telling where you are, unless you are bothered enough to be constantly tracking your GPS location, you might as well be 100 miles away. Cunard doesn't mention that you 'sail' over/near the wreck of the titanic, so I imagine the vast majority of the passengers wouldn't have a clue how close they are.
