Glastonbury 2023

Arctic Monkeys are fucking dreadful tonight. An uninspired bloated performance. To think how brilliant that first album was and how inspired their first performance at Glastonbury was and its come to this. I get that bands evolve but fuck me, they started as the Sex Pistols and are currently giving the Carpenters a run for their money for the dullness trophy.

£67 per day for five days.

Camping pitch - not necessarily the best you'll ever have... But...

Loads of food outlets etc, and activities.

Live music for at least 12 hours a day

Multiple stages, loads of well known and unknown bands, including at least five or six genuinely big name artists / bands every night.

£67 per day.

At my age, it's not for me anymore, but it's absolutely unbeatable value for money.

Yep, a lot of PL clubs charge more than that for fans to watch an hour and a half kick about

Fuck it, I can’t listen to him drag out any more of the songs. Will check end of the set on iPlayer tomorrow to see if it improved.

Why is it only this festival always getting ITN news items every year and Reading/Leeds don't?. They are as big as each other. It's also only this festival my Facebook friends seem to make a huge hoo-harr over in my news feed. When those same people go to Reading or Download, they are hardly posting about their weekend.

With all that said, Foo Fighters/The Churnups were amazing and so want to see them again for the first time since 2017 after seeing that. I had tickets for the 2022 London gig, only for Taylor to sadly pass away, so I have to see them next year, especially after seeing that.

Was pleasantly surprised to find out that Dave Grohl's daughter is the female singer on "Where are you now?" (New album song).

Will watch the stuff from other bands I like on iPlayer tomorrow, as there isn't any waiting for the stuff I like to come on while sitting through crap. Pale Waves I have never heard before and liked them also.

Will watch Arctic Monkeys set tomorrow.
