Maybe send Phillips on loan with an option to buy. Win win for both , kalvin gets full season to impress , west ham get chance to sign him and if things don’t work out , he’s back at city.
Great idea!

Zinny yes but not Stones as much. He was at the core for every title we won. His biggest issue was injuries and not being able to recover from injury to his best form in the latter stage of season. This year he’s managed to stay fit for the latter half/business end of season instead and the masses have realised his quality plus obviously the new midfield role. I think Phillips will stay and prove us wrong. Genuinely don’t think in terms of quality he’s far off Declan, he can do everything Rice can, and we’ve seen him play for Bielsa very wellWe’ve done this with both Stones and zinchenko, they both proved us very wrong.
Totally agree, if I wanted to listen to Arsenal fans, dippers or red scum I would go on their sites, but I don't, I only give a fuck about what city fans think, so for me all the cartel scum bag fans can do one
There was an interview with Phillips and Walker after one of the finals I think and it was clear from what Walker was saying that certain players have been telling him it’s normal and it will be different next season. I think just trying to be a good teammate/friend. But Kalvin has taken it literally. He doesn’t seem to notice the important difference… those other players still played football in their first season, they were still trusted. He didn’t, and isn’t.Tend to agree. When he was fit, he was even overlooked for Rico.
Even the Arsenal and Chelsea Cup games, a full England international sat on the sidelines.
Think Pep has dropped enough hints.
But no Rice before Kalvin decides? If Kalvin decides to back himself in pre-season Rice might already have gone.Doesn't have to be West Ham he chooses to move to.
West Ham would obviously prefer it, but the black and white of it is simply being honest.
Done the same previously with Zin and also Laporte.
They have a contract and Kalvin can back himself to stay and show something in training or limited minutes to change the perspective.
At westham he will be a starter and starts to regain confidence ahead of the EurosHe's a full England international, I would expect Southgate to have also said he needs to be playing more to keep being called up.
Already turned down Newcastle though hasn’t he? Realistically West Ham will be the best offer on the table for him.Doesn't have to be West Ham he chooses to move to.

The lads mentality isn’t right , he came back from the World Cup weighing more than when he left for it , and he was celebrating the treble like he’d made a big contribution to it , he was forefront on the celebrations. Wrong attitude full stop. I’m no big Rice lover , but I’d take him all day long if it meant Philips going , Rodri didn’t get a decent rest because of him , but thankfully he runs through brick walls for this club.Tough on the lad but ultimately the right decision. Some transfers don’t work out for a variety of reasons. Philips is still a very good player but to get into this city team you have to be exceptional at certain aspects and so far albeit in his limited performance we have just not seen it. Which is a shame as we all want our players to do well.
I certainly thought this too. I was never a fan and was opposed to us signing him but thought he was worth another season. However, if what TH says is correct, then Pep really doesn’t want him and we know that means he won’t get played. We may as well plan for being without him, we can’t and won’t play an individual who doesn’t fit, regardless of whether they are a good lad. Sounds harsh but these lads are well paid and the stakes are too high for passengers. No point in him having another season if he isn’t going to get on the pitch
Reckon West Ham see Kalvin as the best option available in the market for price, quality and premier league proven. Great thing about Phillips is that he knew his place but unfortunately it hasn’t worked, great opportunity for him to still play in Europe and get regular game time so he gets picked for England.Maybe send Phillips on loan with an option to buy. Win win for both , kalvin gets full season to impress , west ham get chance to sign him and if things don’t work out , he’s back at city.

Isn't their source just confirming what everyone else is saying, including multiple journalists. Not that it's a done deal with everything agreed, but they can "know" he's going to Arsenal, even if it's not agreed 100%. Once the player is happy, and both teams are close with the valuation, it's likely just a case of when.If your source knows Rice is going to Arsenal, so do people at Arsenal, and if they know it, at least 1-2 journalists close to them are highly likely to know it too. But they don't seem to...Hence your source is likely to be wrong on Rice.
Not saying Rice won't end up at Arsenal, only that it is probably not decided yet.

He also has a banger chant for Stoney. He’s taking up a space. I know what you mean but we can’t keep him on if a good attitude is all he has.
Yeah, i get that mate. It was more the way it sounded.Doesn't have to be West Ham he chooses to move to.

Better than Newcastle? I know I’d rather go there in the current state of play.Already turned down Newcastle though hasn’t he? Realistically West Ham will be the best offer on the table for him.
