The hungry pros should come from the youth team.

That would be great but the reality is that it’s a hell of a step up. McAtee is supposed to be coming back and there’s rumours that Bobb will get a chance but it’s not easy to step up and play for City, we’re one of the best in the world. Seasoned pros like Phillips have struggled to step up, it’s not going to be easy for 18 and 19 year olds to slot in.

If anything it shows how good the likes of Foden and Lewis are in that they can step in and play.

Kovacic and Gvardiol are as good as done seemingly, the club don't often get into personal terms being agreed if a fee is going to be an issue. Plus Kovacic has had his medical by all accounts.

Tolmie called Gvardiol as "on his way" back in February so fairs fucks to that as another reason to be presumptive.

I'd prefer another midfielder as things stand. If Bernie and/or Mahrez go then I'd like to think the club will go for another wide player too.
