I just get the feeling that those two jumped up London clubs are the real ones who have had their noses put out of joint more than the red shirts up here have. at the time of our takeover it was united, Liverpool and Chelsea who vied for three of the 4 CL spots on a regular basis, with Arsenal and Spurs scrapping hopefully of making the 4th spot.

The scousers have an inferiority complex, united are united, its Arsenal who I fucking despise the most with spurs extremely close behind them, two clubs who have been royally fucked by City.

When the likes of PB and Projectriver don’t seem overly confident in us getting off then I think we should be worried - neither of them have given us any confidence that things will go our way , right now I’d take fine, and that feels like a win right now.

Where have I indicated that I don't think things will go our way? You can never be 100% confident in any court or tribunal of course (as @projectriver knows only too well after his own recent legal travails) but I've always maintained that these charges are paper-thin at best, and completely specious at worst.

Not really disguised if it is in the accounts and City have a plausible explanation. Wonder why Lawton omitted this from his story. It’s all in the CAS documents. Just the usual distortion with no balance.

According to the CAS award, the contract was renewed in principle for a higher amount and the parties were working under an MOU until the contract was completed. Not sure why it took so long but I imagine Etisalat couldn't approve payment while there was no definitive contract. The MOU prevails though, and the services were provided and therefore income was earned. The receivable from Etisalat was valid under the MOU, and was paid in full (some time) after the contract was signed.

I am guessing the club needed the money from Etisalat to meet its payments, but as Etisalat couldn't pay under an MOU, ADUG advanced the money.

I know some/most of us are worried about their independence and that this could be a kangaroo court. However, if they were to find us guilty of this, would they then be left with no option but escalate this to the relevant authorities and then potentially a proper court case with potential legal convictions? If this is the case, it does actually make me feel a little more at ease, because I would doubt that the panel would want this going higher up the food chain based on them wanting to "do City".

It's about time City started issuing libel and defamation writs against these so called journalists and ask them to produce any tangible proof they have got for these claims and how they obtained any evidence. Most likely the evidence was obtained illegally and therefore should and would not be admissible in any court of law. If not, just ban them and their reporters from the club and it's surroundings.

Time to fight back and stop these weasels tarnishing the name and reputation of our club.
