One of those tracks where the ball just doesn't come on true. Seems to stick a little and players are through with their shots a fraction early.
 
Hope we can get to as close to 400 as possible.

This partnership is crucial as we have a long tail.
 
Maybe he deserves carrying but we’re certainly carrying Stokes at the moment. His batting has been poor for a good while and he’s barely able to bowl these days.

It's a lot like the Morgan role in the ODI team where he was often out of form with the bat but his leadership meant so much to the team he simply had to play.

You can't drop Stokes because of his leadership and captaincy, the whole things falls apart without him. Hopefully he can get into a position to bowl later in the series, and I'm sure he'll have a good knock at some stage.

Think he's only averaging about 20+ so far in this series. However, he's talismanic and highly unlikely to be removed.

I think overall England just need to have a more strategic approach to their ruthlessness. The Aussies lost Lyon and were getting thrashed. But Cummins knew that bowling short would take wickets. We don't stop swinging, so serve them up and get the catchers in position. What England should have done is left them alone, bowl yourselves into the ground Aussies and we'll duck and leave and see you tomorrow 1 down with 150 odd to chase. England have improved from the first test though. Cummins went defensive and left plenty of singles on offer, and we've taken them this time rather than looking to find the boundary and getting out.

We might want to score quickly, but ultimately the Aussies did and we didn't need to accelerate too much yesterday, there's plenty of time left.

It's a balance though. I completely appreciate where Duckett is coming from. It's only silly if you get out!
 
Genuinely what does stokes do these days? Like having 10 players.

also that TMS interview with duckett last night was awful listening. One arrogant wanker
 
Brook is about to be out...England are going to be a fair few behind if we keep going like this. Clearly we're not bothered by yesterday's errors of judgement and are happy to just get ourselves out in a pursuit to score quickly.
 
Stupid how the batters have been playing the short ball ever since Australia switched it up last night, can't resist taking a swing at it.

Yep, agree with that

Not watching today but we're not exactly twatting them all over the park and have lost 2 wickets already!
