better batters

I’ve always preferred to support Great Britain than England in sport.

Rugby League - Great Britain (also been known as British Isles XIII) Lions
Rugby Union - British and Irish Lions
Athletics - Great Britain and Northern Ireland (also cringingly been known as ‘Team GB’)
Etc.

We used to perform as Great Britain in World Cups in Rugby League. We’ve won two RLWCs as Great Britain.

It's so hard to be positive about England, I want to back them all the way and love nothing more than England beating the Aussies in the Ashes, But what the hell have they done to earn praise, in fact they have looked like school kids playing in the playground with the bell about to ring before break time.

Changes have to happen in the next test, Jimmy Anderson finished, Robinson is so slow, and we need a proper spinner in the team Rehan Ahmed, and the wicket-keeper Foakes,

We are now playing for pride in stopping them whitewashing us

In fairness I don't think we have enough quality players, especially bowlers. The fact that your best spinner had to come out of retirement and one of your pace bowlers is 40 says it all.

We just don't have any depth of talent. I'm no great expert so hopefully they can prove me wrong for the next test.

Can I ask why?

I like the extra edge you get from the individual nations. In rugby union and football the English are the ones the others want to beat. I like the Lions for the history and tradition but would prefer to see England win the six nations and world cup over the Lions being successful. In athletics you support Team GB! But what about the commonwealth games where they're split?

It's the England and Wales cricket board so technically this is a combined nations team, despite the Welsh having no reference in the team name oddly. Surprised Simon Jones didn't campaign off the back of 2005 - that dropped catch didn't cost us!

Probably true but we’ve been well in both tests. Like the equivalent of a team having the lead against City then deciding to go 4 upfront against us
 
Just looked back to compare the respective sides from the Hobart Test, which was the last in the 4-0 defeat in 2021. The only change in the Australian side is Hazlewood for Boland. By comparison, there are five changes from the England side: Burns, Malan, Billings, Woakes, and Wood all played. Tend to underappreciate how consistent Australia have been.
