I feared the worst after waking up to seeing England all out for 172. I thought Australia would have been close to parity with four wickets lost at most. But what a fantastic fightback from England led by Stokes.

We need to get their last wicket quickly tomorrow and try to press home our advantage.

I know pace isn’t everything but this must be the fastest bowling attack we’ve ever taken over to Australia. It’s impossible not to be impressed so far.

Look, yes, be very positive about our chances, but beware of the task in hand

First, we need to get the last wicket quickly, then go about building the lead and batting properly and spend time at the wicket. Getting too far ahead and thinking we have done the job in bowling them out with a lead will bite us on the bum, England still needs to bat well and score over 400 or get a lead over 400 if possible because of the time left in the game, If England bat all day then that still leaves 3 days left in the game for the Aussies to chip away and chase down.

I feel England's bowlers are better than the Aussies, but bowling england out for 172 means they can still be very dangerous. so today in england's 2nd innings we don't need a panic or have a mad hour by throwing our wickets away like we have done in the past,

So come on England
it's your time to stand up and smash the Aussies in their back garden and shut them up

Correct. Just watched the highlights on YT. From 160/5 to 172 all out is pitiful. Credit where due, though. It was a fantastic fightback by the bowlers to keep us in it.

IF we can bat all day tomorrow that'll be a lead of 275-320. That'll be a very competitive score.

Don't forget almost a year to the day at Perth the Australia-India series the first day ended with 17 wickets and India then scored 450 in the second innings. The pitch was a proper green top today so on theory it should be easier from now on

If we bat a full day it will be a lead of over 400 mate.
