Amazing news mate and i think what you are doing is truly special. My daughter has down syndrome and a serious heart condition etc but goes into main stream primary school with a one to one support carer and we would be lost without him seriously! she currently has gone to nearly dying when born to little miss sassy like this:

Still figuring Twitter thing out, but so many friends and colleagues have been on at me to say I could maybe earn money from it at some point, so dipping my toe.

Also had some good advice from posters on here about exposing myself to some who may try to cause me strife, but I will either block or ignore.

One thing I do know about these needy transfer addicts on Twitter is that they absolutely love deciphering clues via YouTube videos - especially 80s classics. They have lots of patience….

I have a brother with DS who had an awful first few years but has had 40 plus years of being the best thing in our lives. Absolute barrels of joy.

Thanks mate, she is adorable.

I will be a children's mental health support worker and mentor, starting in September.

It's going to be tough but not as tough as these kids have it.

I'm going for the Japanese outlook of working hard for 30-years, making sure my kids are decent people, then wanting to contribute to society for the last 20 years of my working life.

It won't make me rich, but it will in many other ways.

At least until I get 100k Twitter followers and start charging 'em!!

you wont believe how much help you will give not only the children but also the parents as well? I hope you understand how much needed it is and how amazing it is that you are doing it, like you say, there is going to be hard days as i can vouch for but the better ones always outweigh the bad ones. :-)

Come on dax, you're better than that. Unless you think having sex is worse than spreading homophobic and transphobic bullshit then I think you've skimmed over some of the details.

If that's not the case then I can remove the first sentence.

My wife is a SEN teacher and can see at first hand how much the kids and their families love her.

I'm going in to inner-city secondary schools, so my eyes may be wide open, but still stealing myself for some very difficult situations.

Not a single story I wrote in 30 years has changed somebody's life. Unless we count getting Roy Keane a £300k fine!

Yeah cant really complain with that, but FDJ is a pipedream (99% Faith, 1% Chance on that one)
