Heatwave Europe

Catalans Dragons’ coach Steve McNamara said the other night they were relieved to get over to Manchester for the cool weather because it’s been unbearable in Perpignan.

They’ve been having to train at 7.00 in the morning as it’s the only time of day suitable.

The weather is one of the things I hate about the UK. Just no consistency and makes it hard to plan ahead. Can't wait to leave for good next year.

I've lived in tropical climates before and enjoyed them on the whole but the lack of real seasons made it a bit boring after a while. I personally prefer a climate with pretty consistent seasons, which you tend to get in much of Europe. Italy is perfect for me from that perspective.
 
Makes you wonder just how bad it could get in the coming years..seems to be on an upward trajectory. Apparently Europe is where its rising the most..

Flying home from Perpignan tomorrow having spent a week in the area and looking forward most to breathing in some cool air.
Cloudy start to the day here in Carcassonne... still 25 degrees. Heading back down to the coast for our last night where the forecast is 'hot and sunny every fucking day' :)

I’d like a bit more sustained sunshine in the Summer (not necessarily for it to be hotter) and for it to be a bit colder and snowier in the Winter.

But it’s pretty close to perfect. There’s a proper distinction between Summer and Winter, which I like. I’d just like less fluctuation within those seasons.

I love Italy too and holiday there multiple times most years but am moving to Prague. Climate isn't the only factor and the Czech Republic tends to have nice, long warm Summers, mild(ish) Springs and Autumns and bloody cold Winters. Suits me perfectly.

Hopefully. We're away in 3 weeks. Where we're off to it's over 40 next week but I had a look at the long range forecast and it suggests it'll be down to low thirties/high twenties by the time we get there.
