It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

Txiki may not have let you in on our target list (which is odd considering he thinks of you as a close personal friend) but it's a stretch to assume that means he doesn't have any.
Well if he does I hope to fuck it's a list of wingers with release clauses

Not in a summer we can potentially lose Gundogan, Walker, Laporte, Cancelo and Mahrez.

Even if he doesn't renew his contract, we have to keep him for another year. Regardless of the offers that will come.
The players return from holiday, today, and we 'potentially' lose none of the players mentioned (Gundogan apart).

Bobb, McAtee, Lewis, Palmer and Doyle are all shouting for their chance. Even if all of the players mentioned leave, which is highly unlikely, the worst situation possible is that we enter the season with this squad.

Ederson/Ortega
Lewis, Stones, Dias, Ake, Akanji, Harwood-Bellis,
KDB, Foden, Grealish, Rodri, Kovacic, McAtee, Doyle, Perrone, Gomez, Bobb, Palmer.
Haaland, Alvarez

Personally, I would be happy to enter the season exactly like that. If we add some, it's a bonus. And, it is without adding any more academy talent into the mix, like Borges, Mebude, or Galvez, to name only three.

Yeah that’s not acceptable. Calling names and using that expression. What is funny is I said three times in three different posts that Alvarez surpassed my expectations and did better than I thought he would in his first season, it’s exactly the humility you are saying I should, but for posters like you it’s never enough unless it’s done your way.
I can tell from a distance (you know, I really am far that I can’t attend games) that our interactions won’t be productive. I’m using the ignore button to spare others of falling into your trap in the future. No begrudging on my part, carry on being yourself, but don’t assume anything when I don’t respond in the future

I like you, BG, always have.

Just remember not everyone is going to read your 'retractions' and admissions at the same time as people skip pages.

You will find yourself having repeat things you've already said with what feels like a hundred times! Them's the breaks on internet interaction.

It's not worth getting into the weeds on what was said if people don't see it and no need to 'ignore'. That's for weak simpletons who can't hold the core of their discussion or belief.

Hold frame and just move past it. The main connection here is as Blues.

I would assume we have contingency plans in place for everything. What do we do if Pep leaves, what do we do if De Bruyne tears his ACL, what do we do if Ederson gets tempted by Saudi money and forces a move etc. I'm sure we have wingers in mind and interested to find out who.

...and so it starts again...the thin skin and paranoia. Next will come the accusing other posters of racism.

Gus, you have interesting stuff to say, but the way you say it - as though your view is the only possible one in town - invites others to challenge your views and call you out. Then you get all pissy and threaten to take your ball away. We've done this dance before.

Relax and remember it's a forum where people are gonna disagree and challenge each others views.

Ha!

Me thinks you haven't visited the politics thread where one has to be part of the cult!!

Id Love to know why people have such a negative opinion of Sam Lee. He seems to write well researched article consistently.

By recollection, sentiment seemed to turn against him when he publicly stated he was talking to the client journalists who work for United and Liverpool - hacks for hire like Delaney, Harris, Panja, etc - to understand their ‘expert opinions’ on the whole UEFA charges/CAS situation.

At around that time he did start leaning into some of their more unpalatable tropes and in particular the more egregious, ill-informed and agenda-driven lies about our Club that client journalists like them work so hard to propagate, from which point a lot of City fans stopped trusting him and saw his as part of the anti-City agenda. The team he supports didn’t exactly help him out here either!

Up til then, even though people knew he was a United fan they seemed willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.

From that point on - he became the enemy in the eyes of a lot of City fans.

Sam lee saying city saw Bernardo as the ideal Candidate to slot into midfield with kovacic as gundogan replacements, but mahrez leaving would complicate this- they can’t have Bernardo as both winger and midfield cover. So, continue with plan to move Bernardo to midfield and get a winger to replace mahrez rather than use Bernardo there (Bernardo can still be cover for the new RW). Makes sense to me I must admit.

Chekri
Olise
Chiesa
Goncalves
Coman
Barcola

Quick list, the one for me… Goncalves.
Lots of the same names being mentioned, but I really think Take Kubo should be on these lists. Sociedad player of the season, over the likes of David Silva, Zubimendi and Mikel Merino. Stylistically looks like a mix of David Silva and Mahrez. Only 22yo and got 18 G&A last season in all comps. As a Japanese he could boost our fan base in Asia

Have City announced their transfer plans, if so I must missed them :-) I don't understand the need to stress over incoming and outgoings, I've every faith the the team that has orchestrated the greatest ever development of a football club (we won the Treble you know :-) ) has everything in hand.

And if goes tits up, then I,ll go back to supporting Chelsea now they've got a decent manager in :-)
