Why though and what particular instance? I can't remember owt. Did he maybe have a passionate moan at his teammates, maybe wanting them to perform better or seem generally angry?

I'm not his biggest fan but I've never seen him really make mistakes and if he acted a knob at some point, then maybe that could be down to him being pissed off at playing right next to Davot Upamecano.

He fouled Grealish time and time again, played the hard man, whinged all game and his positioning was awful. He along with Davies shrank on the night at the Etihad, they hid. The easy scapegoat was Upmercano but he was easy to press as he was the only one showing.

I’ve never really rated him and obviously Bayern don’t as they’ve already tried to replace him with Cancelo and now a 33 year old walker.

I may well be very wrong and his half right back half centre back pedigree might be very useful.

The story from German press and according to Bayern fans is he doesn’t want to play rb and wants to play centre half. Something that Bayern won’t do. Hence he wants to leave. I guess in our system although he would start at rb he could slot into the back three and stones step up from centre half.

He wants to leave because he is playing out of position and his contract finishes next year. Thats why Bayern will let him move on. He was statistically one of their best players last season

I've never previously been a fan of Pavard but if we do get him maybe he'll surprise many, just like other defenders we've signed in recent years.

Think back to when Ake signed many said he's bang average compared to what we already have, or that we didn't need him the money would be better spent elsewhere etc.

The same with Akanji many said he's bang average compared to what we have, beyond a few early mistakes both him and Ake have been resounding successes.

I've never really seen Pavard make mistakes despite always thinking he was overrated, maybe he's one of those players you have to see for your team to fully appreciate.

Bayern fans actually love Pavard which surprised me and the only reason they're replacing him is the same as Akanji at Dortmund, he's made it very obvious that he has no plans to extend his contract and he's moving on once it expires.

They needed more hard men that night as they were totally spineless as we ran them ragged their players were overwhelmed, who hasn't had a go at Grealish when he's on it getting frustrated with not being able to dispossess him? Upamecano deserved to be their scapegoat he was beyond shite by far their worst player, despite how much we dominated them and should've been out of sight, they were still keeping us at bay it was only Upamecano who tipped the scales in our favour bigtime.

I've never rated him myself previously but maybe he could surprise us all, they're only trying to replace Pavard because he's refusing to sign a new deal he's leaving at the end of the upcoming season... Their fans see him as being their most reliable defender easily and would rather keep him.

He isn’t just don’t see the point of this signing. Said the same about Phillips last season and was shot down and told how he would provide competition for a starting place lol. How wrong they were. Treble winners and we’re scraping the barrel for bargain basement signings. No one saw this coming, it’s actually quite sad as we’ve been fed the premise we do our signings early lol. Now we’re told it’s only half way through the window. Something it’s right here

Who'd have thought Akanji would finish the season as one of our first choice defenders? Lest we forget, this was a player who was third choice at Dortmund at the time we signed him and largely unknown to us. I hear the doubts but, if our interest is more than lazy media bollocks, I'd prefer to place my trust in Pep and Txiki who must see him as a good fit.
