It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

do we know who's got the shout from the EDS?

Pretty much the whole EDS squad is booked on the flight - they booked the flights/visas weeks in advance. That doesn't mean they'll all be going. For example, Liam Delap is booked on but he's on loan at Hull now.

Palmer, Trafford, Harwood-Bellis, Doyle, Gomez deffo aren't. Bobb is booked on but hasn't been training properly yet.

Second stage of the market about to start. Should be very interesting times given Bayern's ambitions and resultant need for sales.

I'd take Cancelo - IF he could be managed. I think he'd really add something to this squad. I'd need a big sign from him that he'd apologise to the group and knuckle down.

Impossible to know though isn't it and I can't see pep changing his mind.

Cancelo was zero issue for years, he won multiple trophies, personal accolades and a new contract and then seemingly just imploded one day.

think Cancelo is done but stranger things have happened, it's understandable showing your arse when out of the team but clattering your own players in training is way ott

interesting the talk of playing him further forward, I've been saying he isn't a defender for the last 12 months, he always looked like a creative wide player. Any one that thinks he is one of best defenders in the world hasn't got a clue about defending. He doesn't seem to have the requirements for it, no steel, concentration or will to win personal battles. if he was to still be in the team them wide right is the best place for him, as far away from our box as possible

He is a class player but do leopards change there spots? If Mahres goes though he be a great option but it depend if pep and him have had a chat
I've never met him, so obviously, everything I'm saying is second-hand info.

I think we (as a fanbase) are pretty harsh on Cancelo... He's been a great player and achieved loads with us. He was going through many personal issues for 12+ months which all stemmed from the break-in at his house (which is completely understandable). He has always had personal issues after his mother died when he was young.

I think he's a complex character who lets his emotions get the better of him. Apparently, he attacked Foden after a game which kicked it all off (and he'd been a moody **** for weeks before). He and Foden are fine now. So there is an avenue back - but Pep doesn't have a track record of letting those things go, so I don't see him being involved much if he stays.

Let's all remember that this guy turned up and played class against Arsenal a day after he and his family were robbed at knife-point in their home.

No doubting his skill!

Pep might of invited him in he office pointed in the corner and says to him there’s your 3 medals you contributed to let’s start afresh slate clean!!

Hard to tell who’s joking and serious at this point. It’s exactly the type of post I expect from some on here :)
Haha! Sorry mate I was just kidding, all my posts on here are by and large a joke!
Although you’re absolutely right, the entitlement of some of the fannys on here! Really gets my back up sometimes

I wouldn’t. Bloke’s a **** and but for Pep and everyone else, would have ruined our season. His leaving led to a treble. I’ll never cheer him again.

Trouble is, if he derails a season again like he did last time and nobody is around to take him on loan, could cost us a season. I would be surprised if Pep took that risk.

I wanna say Anfield for some reason?
He played as a right wing/wing back at Anfield last year and he was very poor, although to be fair the whole team looked all over the place that game and I don’t really think Cancelo knew where he was supposed to be playing.

I’ve always had a feeling that Cancelo could do a job on the right wing, and it has to be said that he can sometimes make a chance out of nothing (for us and the opposition in truth).

Realistically it will be hard for him to stay given his behaviour and if a decent bid comes in he will doubtless go. The team looked much happier once he was out of the door last season.

Top player cancelo going forward it’s defensively he’s suspect, but boy can he put a pass/cross onto someone’s head or foot, the outrageous outside of foot for the Haaland goal against Dortmund springs to mind, was always one of my fav players but the whole bust up has put me right off him..

But this post sums it up perfectly..

Seeing the team he left go on to win a treble is something that can humble anyone and id expect that to have happened.

If it didnt do that he’s beyond saving and unfortunately its our problem to live with.

No one is buying him, free subsidised loan is the only option I see if he doesnt stay
