And this is where it gets fucked up. Majority leaving are getting on the old side. Core and spine of the team is still intact. Halaand, KDB, Rodri, Ederson, Stones, Foden, Alvarez, Grealish.

At this stage what i don't understand is surely given that Rice, a mediocre midfielder has gone for 120 million, we are surely not allowing Bernardo going for fucking peas?

Will need midfielders x2, 1 winger, if Gvardiol gets in.

The lost experience is invaluable. That will have to be built again.

Curious what we do going forward.

I would normally agree, but with dwindling contracts and money for older players, coupled with a lack of desire to stay, we might have to bite the bullet.
Meet our valuation €80m this time or wait for another season. But his contract won't be running out until a couple of seasons' time. PSG have already bought in a couple of players who play in Bernardo Silva's position. Barcelona haven't got a pot to piss in and already owe us for Ferran Torres.

Who's he said that to mate?

Was it just a fan asking him in the street?

Bernie is still the best signing we could make this summer.

yeah as I posted on the berny thread mate works in spiningfields said a young bert came back from dinner buzzin he met berny in town got a selfie and asked are you going and he replied no

whether he was just paying lip service to the lad I have no idea

If you have a backbone of >>

Ederson

Dias
Ake
Akanji
Stones
Lewis

With these in front of them>

Rodri
Kovacic
Grealish
Foden
Alvarez
Haaland

It’s pretty solid but we do need 3/4 top quality players coming in!

Tonnes of exciting possibilities here. Hope it doesn't get screwed.

Still. BERNIE DONT GO.

If Laporte wants Atletic Bilbao, then we should be asking about Sancet, one of the best young players in La liga

Pep is disappointed, but suspect he doesn't want any passengers.

Agents know we can't afford to hang around.

My best guess is Walker, Cancelo, Bernie, Mahrez and Laporte will all be gone.

Could be an exciting few weeks of the window but worried about the impact it has on performances early on?

Out of that list, I only care about Bernie.
Ages of those 5:
Walker 33
Cancelo 29
Bernardo 28 (29 next month)
Mahrez 32
Laporte 29

Losing these players is not a problem for me. Replace them with players 5-7 years younger and hungrier.

Let Pep create one last new team and leave his legacy for the future

Bernardo would be a huge loss but in some ways it would be better to have his situation resolved finally even if it means he’s off. It’s hard to see where he would go though. Even harder to see who replaces him…
Can only think of PSG that could be in for him , and an offer has come in that we have accepted that was pre agreed with Bernardo as a promise to the player , but that’s as good as a release clause isn’t it ?

Not if he’s forced to stay (yes I know no one will pay the fee) yet another season I fear. There’s only so much one can take before they say enough. I suspect he won’t have a happy season being so far away from his newborn.
