Well, who is going to be the first to tell Tolmie to stop flapping? ;-)

And it's not like me to flap, either!

Pep can be disappointed, but I would be asking some serious fucking questions if we are being caught on the hop by any of these guys, barring Walker?

Txiki has kept his powder dry so far, I just hope it's with good reason.

The Declan Rice bid still confuses the shit out of me.

I would normally agree, but with dwindling contracts and money for older players, coupled with a lack of desire to stay, we might have to bite the bullet.
I guess we knew this was coming at a certain point. Sad to see but I guess it’s time to refresh from early. Bernardo will be the biggest loss. The rest not as much, but losing seniority could have an impact too.

Confuses you because why bid if never intended to meet the 100m and bidding the same as arsenal just had rejected or why bid on him at all?

I haven't been in a nice set of flaps in months.

Edit* wrong thread sorry

Pep is disappointed, but suspect he doesn't want any passengers.

Agents know we can't afford to hang around.

My best guess is Walker, Cancelo, Bernie, Mahrez and Laporte will all be gone.

Could be an exciting few weeks of the window but worried about the impact it has on performances early on?

Out of that list, I only care about Bernie.
I think all, except Bernardo, are replaceable. Most I would even argue that now is the time to move them on, before they drop off. No one is irreplaceable but Bernardo would be very, very hard to replace. Especially if all others mentioned is leaving. Not only because he is world class, he is also capable of playing in multiple roles. Feels like whoever we could realistically replace him with would be a huge downgrade.

of course he is not too happy. he was sold the idea of getting Bellingham then he gave his OK for Rice bid, both went to tits.
he wanted to keep Gundo, he said it himself multiple times.

thats before all this thing of Walker, Mahrez all of a sudden prefer moves away while Bernardo does his usual summertime "someone please bid for me" thingy. and Gvardiol still not here for pre season despite we apparently working on this move for months.
wait until Boehly pulls the trigger after their defender's big injury and they do a Cucurella or Jorghino on us maybe lol.

this is not where we should be in the transfer window imo 3.5 weeks before the PL start and before a season where we have super cup games as an added fixture list nd where rivals are spending serious money to strengthen themselves.

happy clappers might say why we dont trust Txiki etc., lets get some work done finally, lets throw away the net spend trophy and lets invest in some top top players.

yeah as I posted on the berny thread mate works in spiningfields said a young bert came back from dinner buzzin he met berny in town got a selfie and asked are you going and he replied no

whether he was just paying lip service to the lad I have no idea

I understand that mate, thought it might be the case.

Most players stopped in the street will always give the answer others want to hear.

Doesn't mean he was lying, and I so hope it's true.

He wants to leave, but is there anything left out there for him.

You also have to remember, City won't went him running down his contract much further and he's stalled on our new terms for 18 months.

Sancet release clause is 50 million euros. Surely he will come up in conversation if Atletic want Laporte

100% agree with this
Pep will be furious, massively rebuilding after a treble instead of kicking on

Don’t think seniority is a problem we have loads of experienced players throughout the team, if we get players in I don’t think even losing Bernardo is a big problem. May be a bedding in period but we’ve started slow before.
Even in those 5 leave we can still put out a team that closely resembles last seasons treble winners.
Ederson
Akanji Stones Dias Ake
Rodri
KDB Kocacic
Foden Haaland Grealish
