Cricket Thread

Just saw weather on BBC Breakfast,every chance there is meant to be a bit of a break in the rain around 2ish tomorrow afternoon,till around 6pm,an hour to dry it up and 3 hours to bowl them out,if it holds off during that time of course.

They knew it was coming,and also knew Saturday was gonna be a complete washout,forecast has been saying it all week it would be like this today especially.
 
Realistically, we will need at least a full session of play to have any chance of winning this test.

It took us 44.1 overs to claim their last 6 wickets in the first innings.

I’m not hopeful.
 
I could of got 11/8 for the draw at 5.00pm yesterday.
Cannot see another ball being bowled.
 
Should stop raining about 11:45 then throughout the day its light/very light rain.

Think we will get on at some point today
 
Those changing odds tell us all we need to know about the weather forecast. It’s actually not been too heavy this morning in sunny Gorton but it’s been persistent with no sign of any let up. I was actually pleasantly surprised that we got a full day’s play in yesterday and it was a great day’s cricket. I’m not sure England could’ve done much different - I think the aim was to post a big enough total that reduces the need for us to bat again, but the weather forecast has clearly taken a turn for the worse since yesterday tea-time

Don’t know about gorton but it’s bouncing in Stretford don’t listen to the hopers there’s no hope of play today believe me I’m 5 minutes away from the ground and the gardens flooded

it was ideal batting conditions

on other note you cant add time to a game that hasnt lost any time
only the over rate needs sorting and both teams were guilty of slow ovr rate
