Joao Cancelo | Al Hilal Player

It’s one heck of a downfall that’s for sure. People know what Cancelo can do so I imagine it’s one towards the end of next month we will get a few rather poor loan offers then take one and cut out losses.

The side has evolved now and I struggle to see where cancelo would fit in.
as a defensive winger of sorts ?

Barcelona should be interested in Rico Lewis, he is more reliable than Cancelo.

Cancelo is not consistent, bad defender & will bother them with #mommyblessme
Cancelo would be a huge star for Barca, a dream move, playing for the world's greatest club, they deserve eachother more than I can possibly say...

If he was that much of a problem he wouldn’t have been anywhere near the tour. Not sure where the angry narrative of him killing someone has come from. Leave it with Pep
Pep wants him gone, according to Sam Lee... Two reasons they'd have him along. 1. Squad depth is THIN to say the least. 2. No one is interested and City gotta play him to up his exposure a bit.

I really doubt he's anywhere close to the squad come the shield game.

Not so sure, maybe he has to be there, as said, contractual, we are doing this by the book.
There is no chance there is anything in his contract about being part of a pre-season tour. If Pep didn't want him there, he would have been at the CFA training with Harwood-Bellis and Tommy Doyle.

There maybe loyalty payments due and he has to keep fit and be available to receive them, whatever he was in the shop window and the sooner he leaves the better.

My take on it was just that Pep likes to work with senior players, and ones that can execute what he wants. That would have been more important to pep than anything.

Our squad is incredibly thin atm, AM had much more off the bench at weekend. It felt largely like men v boys after our stronger players went off on 50 minutes, Cancelo's presence provided more experience. He looked decent in the first 2 games but was not at his best in the final game.

I wouldn't say the squad is incredibly thin as it stands we've lost gundogan and mahrez from the 1st team squad which has been replaced with kovacic and mcAtee I'd go as far as saying we've got an extra body in Cancelo from the squad that finished the season, my only worry is maybe not the same quality but only time will tell.
