How come they’ve secured this £900mill deal over 10 years when they’ve only won about 4-5 trophies in that time something doesn’t add up,yet we have been serial premier league winners with cups thrown in for good measure,domestic treble,centurion season and then a Champions league to complete a treble,yet apparently we have a deal with puma worth only £65 mill a season something isn’t right ..

I'm not too concerned about that to be honest. It must be getting on for a decade since they signed their last deal with Adidas and that was for £750m over 10 seasons, so this new one only represents a 20% uplift which in terms of inflation, and football inflation in particular, is piss poor really. For me, the value of the new deal just highlights how stagnant they've been since the previous deal was signed. I suspect that if we renewed our Puma deal almost a decade on from the last one then we'd be looking at far more than a 20% increase.

PP not having a great pre season, is he? Now; I'm not going to be hypocritical, and pretend it matters when I've said that pre season doesn't matter to us (or, to be more accurate, me!). But the hordes in Asia/Africa/Scandinavia/'murica, and especially those pesky Irish, won't be happy. They'll be rooting in the back of their wardrobes for their Norwich scarves.
