They also know they have a player who desperately wants out. And we have at least one player that they’d very much like. It’s in no-one’s interests for this not to go through.

Bernardo is not creative enough for that role. He is energetic and a wonderful midfielder but not a creator (think D Silva). Foden is way better there as he was in the Champions League final.
