I suspect that Saudi wouldn't be on the cards for Benjamin. He'll get suitably compensated by city then he'll be off to Saudi on super big pay to finish his career.

Yep, it's just between the club and the player (maybe even the insurers and the player?) and for all we know they've already come to an agreement. No idea why people are getting so bent out of shape over this.I'm amazed that so many Blues are getting so wound up about a comment made by a Barrister/solicitor in a bankruptcy hearing.
I often lay awake at night wishing I was as much of a legal expert as you.I know we had "legal experts" using clauses from endorsement contracts to say they could terminate his contract of employment, but they were barking up the wrong tree.
Clubs do have some control over what players can do in their own time.
If a player wanted to go skiing for example, the club would say no.
There will also be rules around bringing the club into disrepute.
i think you will find a lot if not all players will have something in their contracts banning them from doing some sports, they arent even allowed to play football outside of their clubs because of injurythere is no control over the player if they wanted to go skiing outside of his football and training and playing times
some players do crazy things in their free time or days off, if a manager had full control of his player's lifestyles he would not have much time on his hands for football,
You hope you can drill the players into ideas and plans and good habits, but the truth is it's out of the club's and managers' hands, As I said the only control would be playing time or training with the kids and the cold shoulder then out the door in the next transfer window,
Riding on a motorbike is commonly excluded too.i think you will find a lot if not all players will have something in their contracts banning them from doing some sports, they arent even allowed to play football outside of their clubs because of injury
Of course they won't have the money, but Mendy should be suing the women making the allegations against him for losing the money.
Do you mean it would discourage women from making false allegations? That would be a good thing. That would probably ensure that the small percentage of women that do even bother reporting rapes would significantly drop even further.
I Think he will fit right in there like a Burnley fan in a six fingered gloveI suspect that Saudi wouldn't be on the cards for Benjamin.
Thought he retired at our place I only remember Delphinio and Zinky at left back;-)He's already signed for another club in France, so his career isn't over, he isn't retired.
Not sure that’s true.
In my old company we had a guy who was basically caught red handed stealing. You can’t sack people on the spot so he had to be suspended while the company properly investigated it, conducted interviews etc.
We had to pay **** while all this went on, then he was obvs sacked after the HR ‘investigation’.
Great wordsWhy is he claiming he is broke ? He was a multi millionare , partied it away i presume as he cant have spent it all on legal costs , always a chancer , claiming titles he did fuck all work for , never liked him
Be interested to hear a couple of examples of players that have gone off and done crazy things in their free time?there is no control over the player if they wanted to go skiing outside of his football and training and playing times

Yes there is, it’s written into their contract that they can’t participate in dangerous sports/pastimes/activities, this even includes riding a motorbikethere is no control over the player if they wanted to go skiing outside of his football and training and playing times
