Same with "sell him to x", or "send him on loan to x", it's so easy, and the player may have no interest in "x".

Agree.

We've already added the best young defender in the world and a Croatian international midfielder who has already won 4 champions league titles.

We then add a Brazilian international midfielder who was talked up as the next big thing before an interesting move to West Ham. He provides a lot of what we're missing with Gundogans departure.

Then everyone was calling for speed and power on the wings which we will be getting in spades with Doku.

Such a great potential window after bringing in Haaland and Alvarez last season. Damn, we are on fire.

Next season we bring in Wirtz to take over KDB and we are set for many many years..

you know, after all the panic and flapping at the start of if all that happens and we get #wirtz,that is some planning

Yep can't see to many complaining if we end up with a midfield of:
Rodri, Paqueta and Wirtz with Kovacic on the bench. Pep would surely have to stay for that transition.

All I see there is someone who lacks control and is wasteful when passing the ball, I’m not seeing it, spend the extra for Mitoma

Granted, he is not as technical as Mitoma. But I think you are missing what's great about him. The quality he posseses is innate. He is sudden in his movement. His change of direction and stop-go is incredible. He looks clumsy coz his actual technique is average. Kyle Walker levels. ( meaning, he'd be close to the bottom on our team).

But his athleticism is off the charts. He is not actually that fast. More like Messi, he is quick, and has tremendous burst. These are not qualities you find easily. So don't underestimate it.

I like the Sané/Mahrez types of wingers, players with excellent technique. I was already sold on Mitoma but it seems some factors have made this signing impossible. Brighton possibly hyperinflating the price on an asset they bought for cheap? Doku reminds me so much of Sterling the way he carries the ball. I imagine he would frustrate a lot of people when he produces no end product.
