Exactly. You can acknowledge she may have mental health problems yet at the same time say she needs locking up for good so she can't do it again. I very much doubt there is anyone out there saying she shouldn't be "punished".Bit harsh that, wouldn't say it makes me or anybody a do-gooder to say that she 100% has mental health problems, she murdered 7 babies. There's nothing sane about that.
And she does need to be understood to make sure this never happens again.

Someone refusing to attend a remand hearing for shop theft? 5/6 members of staff or officers in full riot gear and shields dragging people to the dock, forcibly restraining them? Absolutely shocking that this **** can refuse to go into the dock to hear its sentencing.

I don't get this mawkish need to see her? I'm happy enough that she's going to spend the rest of her life behind bars. The whole demand for the sentencing to be a public spectacle is wierd.Simple answer is to have her on a live feed from her cell , prepare the families that she might have to be cut off or muted if she plays up

There are circumstances where a refusal could see an extra punishment but when you are facing life that isnt really a deterrent.
