I totally agree but have no ideas who it could be. Maybe if they put the money down they can get Olmo, RB Leipzig are a selling club, but now it looks like we’ve agreed on Doku I think they’ll get someone who is more of a midfielder.

If there are no realistic replacements available then there is little choice.

IMO the problem is not Phillips per say.

I think the solution to "the Rodri problem" will be a combination of a lot of players (Phillips, Kovacic, Ake, Stones, Gvardiol, Gomes, Lewis and anyone else who may come in). It won't be 1 player as a perfect Rodri alternative because there are precious few players of his ability in the world.

I think the solution to "the Rodri problem" will be a combination of a lot of players (Phillips, Kovacic, Ake, Stones, Gvardiol, Gomes, Lewis and anyone else who may come in). It won't be 1 player as a perfect Rodri alternative because there are precious few players of his ability in the world.

Better off moving Phillips on then and buy a replacement next summer (or start using Phillips more along with the alternatives in the squad).
