We’ll never know of course but it would be interesting to know how Greenwood would’ve developed under Ferguson. From what we hear about his management ‘style’ he’d have known exactly what Greenwood was up to and where he was up to it. Maybe recent managers did and chose not to get involved but I’d hazard a guess Ferguson would’ve bounced him very quickly if he thought he couldn’t get through to him.
Lee Sharpe says hi.

The glaring difference between the Ferguson years and now is that the current team is massively underperforming and winning nothing.
Ironically the loss of the likes of Keane and Beckham in the Ferguson era was much easier to deal with as the club were being successful at the time and able to absorb the loss. However the present team are nothing short of shockingly average (I’m being kind!) and the loss of a bright star such as Greenwood is far greater on pitch and financially, hence their pathetic efforts to do all possible to hand on to the little horror.
The club have come out of this very badly.
They’re run by a bunch of useless cunts and may that continue for a very long time!
Excellent

By no means convinced Ferguson gives a f**k about modern United, every management failure adds to the man's legend. Any success now could not be attributed to him as he has been retired ten years and the current back room is very different to his. He didn't seem very distressed at the cup final, wondered how he felt about sitting near Beckham who he f****d off. Think Ferguson loves himself vastly more than he loved United who he saw as a cash cow and means to an end.Hes not a patch on Matt Busby who was a gentleman but a vast improvement on Tommy Docherty who was a c**t.
Think he’s deeply hurt by what they’ve become - the thought of him suffering at their demise brings me great joy.

How the worm has turned. woman on SSN just referred to the scum as Manchester City, I can remember the days when it used to be the other way round lol
Ha! reminded me of the eighties when I came to Australia, the rags were just called "Manchester"
Felt insulted :)

Changed now thanks to the Sheik.

Don’t think either Sharp or Morrison were at Greenwood’s level were they? I believe Wes Brown was offered the choice of retaining his old lifestyle and leaving or toeing the Ferguson line early in his career.

This level that Mason Greenwood is 1:4 striker, vastly overrated who has never won a trophy.

Lee Sharpe was 1:6 winger who has won prem leagues, domestic & cup winners cup.
