If Akanji isn't standing there, the goalkeeper dives early without the pause and reaches the ball. It was hardly a power header.

I dunno, there was definitely some power on that

Oliver clueless. Every time we win the ball a Fulham player dies and Oliver gives a free kick. He then let every Fulham player berate him like fuck for about 4 mins. If he is the best ref in the country that says it all

What intervention? Keeper saw it all the way and Akanji didn't touch it

The keeper's having to compensate for a ball being hit directly towards a player in an offside (i.e. illegal) position.

Whether he actually touches it or not shouldn't be the point.

Dont think the goalie was getting anywhere near it but i can see why it would/could have been disallowed. Id be calling for it if it was against us

think we need changes for the second half. Alvarez has scored but he isnt working in the team in that position. We need Foden there

IMO and I tend to wear the least blue tinted specs here... I thought Akanji tried to avoid contact as he knew he was well offside. The view from behind goal shows he was nowhere near Lenos eyeline. I feel more we got lucky inasmuch as we actually got the call
I agree that he jumped to avoid it. The kick at the end looks odd but I think that's part of the jump, he is making extra sure it doesn't get in his legs.

That was probably as bad a first half performance as I have seen for quite a while. We have been really sloppy in possession, giving the ball away too easily and too often. Moments of brilliance from Foden but other than that not a lot to get excited about.

But still we go in 2-1 up. It’s a funny old game

Thought we were wishy washy as fuck that half and pretty lucky to be going in ahead.

Needs to be a lot better / sharper / more energetic 2nd half.

Loved Doku’s exciting take ons but Pep will have to do a fair bit of work with him positioning and not ball watching wise.

He’s not getting much service. He’s constantly stood about 20 yards from anyone on the wing. I think we’re not used to having someone so wide as an option all the time
