What am I missing here? did someone die or what? what's with this talk of injustice from the commentary team?

Because it's City.
If it was Liverpool or United then Akanji would be irrelevant to the play so goal should stand and Fulham's complaints would be unnecessary, illogical and wrong. We are used to it.

They`re even arguing about it on Sky Sports. 50.50 split on whether it should have been allowed/disallowed.
Mike Dean saying "interfering with play" as does Michael Dawson who always comes over as level headed.
Shay Given on my stream talking absolute shite

Even game v 12 men, Oliver the usual shocking performance when it comes to reffing us, joke decisions at times.
Need to be a lot better 2nd half to get the win

That was probably as bad a first half performance as I have seen for quite a while. We have been really sloppy in possession, giving the ball away too easily and too often. Moments of brilliance from Foden but other than that not a lot to get excited about.

But still we go in 2-1 up. It’s a funny old game
Sloppy as. Lucky as. Wakey Wakey City!

No, clear goal under the laws. Akanji didn't touch the ball, he wasn't in line of sight of the goalkeeper. That is a goal all day long, and equally acceptable if it was against us.
This.
Maybe a touch hard on Fulham, but tough shit.
No grounds for the histrionics, and nowhere near as controversial a decision as its being made out to be.

All very flat up and down the pitch.

Don't like the 4-4-2. Doku has lots to learn, but it's a lesson for the City crowd about what happens if a player does try and beat his man constantly and why Grealish does what he does.

But it's early days and we are missing Pep.

He’s not getting much service. He’s constantly stood about 20 yards from anyone on the wing. I think we’re not used to having someone so wide as an option all the time

This is Pep Guardiola positioning 101 mate

It needs changing at half time. The new kid needs to come off he's lost out there and loses the ball too much. I've never seen us so sloppy, giving the ball away cheaply, slow, giving too many fouls away too. Phil needs to get into midfield, Alvarez out wide for Doku.
