He had his worst game for us yesterday and was still very good.
Every player’s score was dragged down by the system we deployed in the first half; it would have been generous giving higher than a 5-6 to any player, or the coaching staff. By contrast, reverting to a more familiar system after the interval saw everyone’s performance improve.

Given the general technical excellence of Croatian players, I’m a little surprised that we haven’t sought to find a club there that we can tie into the CFG.

He loves the slide rule pass into the front man. I adore his always look to pass forward first mindset. I just pray pep doesn't knock it out of his game because it's a great attribute and haaland will benefit massively from it as he settles into our game properly. Looks like he's been here years not weeks. Just immense.
Are you seriously questioning Pep’s tactics?

Would have thought Pep would encourage such play - it’s how we like to use the ball????

I really rate Declan Rice but is he actually a better player than Mateo Kovacic? £105m v £25m, steal of the window. To think that chelsea spent over £100m each on Fernandez and Caicedo when they had Kova is madness

Not at all, the only thing Rice has over him is that he's younger

Kovacic is a much better footballer

From the evidence of the first few games of the season you'd think Kovacic cost £105 million and Rice £25 million

I wasn’t a fan of this transfer but I’m happy to be wrong. Fantastic footballer who fits perfectly into our style.

Completely. Was ineffective first when pushed in the gundogan slot but flourished in The second when dropped back. Plays so much better when he has pitch ahead of him.

Buy of the season so far.
Gundo wasn't a goalscorer before he came to City. Four goals from 48 starts at Dortmund and it was Pep who brought the best out of him. Who says Pep won't do the same for Kovacic?
