Liverpool Thread - 2023/24

Hi everyone, anyone help me out with some info? Would I be right in assuming that only certain members can post a new thread? It keeps saying I don't have the privileges to do it? Thought I'd ask in the LFC thread than get early pelters elsewhere!

Think it is over 100 posts before you can do it. Do you still get the message that your posts have to be approved by a moderator before they appear in threads?

I did on that first post yes, will see with this one. But I suspect so :)
It's the same limit as far as I know, once your posts don't need approval, then you will be able to start a new thread.

The limit isn't 100, it's considerably less, but it can be varied, depending on circumstances at the time. If rival fans act the prick, they will quickly be banned, and or thread banned, and I think you can also limit posters from posting, by needing approval from a mod.

You've obviously come on with something in mind, why don't you just post it and see what happens ?

Am I the only one not convinced? I am not sure anyone here can say that this team is better then the Liverpool team that one the title and took City to the brink twice.

They have some quality but everyone seems to have "figured them out". I think they will be a top 4 team but I am not sure they have looked any better then Tottenham to be completely honest.

Liverpool will be nowhere near us. They struggled against a poor Chelsea side. The media will blow smoke up the arses of these pricks at will. Watch their form after they start the Thursday night cup.

The Thursday cup will soon be rebranded as the toughest most elite competition in the world now the scousers are in it.

Until they get knocked out by the Ukrainian army 5 a side team.

Wtf? They beat a Villa side that Newcastle put 5 past. That’s a Newcastle side that have played 4 and lost 3.

Way too much blowing smoke up the Dippers arses on here atm.
Even if they were Brazil 70 I’d never acknowledge them.
Twas ever thus.....4 games in and you simply cannot tell anything.
We got out of jail against Newcastle due to a couple of mistakes by defenders and Nunez doing that rare thing (for him) hitting the target. perhaps the case in point being when he hit the post from 10yds for Cashs' OG.
Even yesterday I was amazed at how much Villa sat back and let us play. Gomez/Matip were clearly the weak links there and yet there was no real pressure on them. What happened to the now regular line of attack of the ball into TAAs corner...perhaps the reason they kept swapping Gomez into RB.
Wait and see how we are getting on after 10 games and whether or not the midfield is abit more solid before thinking we are going to have any chance of keeping up with you lot.

....and as for @Footballstubs... just post it in the Liverpool thread.
that said relatively early in my time on here I did dare to start a thread

I suspect the Chelsea match doesn't mean a lot, early season performances are always variable.
We were poor for a fair bit of the Fulham match.

Their attack looks pretty potent. Defense doesn't look all that at the moment but defenses are often stabilized with a bit of work.

Not wholly convinced by them ,but certainly not writing them off. Thursdays they will walk.

The one thing that anyone and everyone who watched them Saturday can’t deny is that this midfield is massively improved in terms of energy and pressures compared to last year.

For that reason alone, I think Liverpool are going to be back to being the ‘best of the rest’. It’s pretty impressive how well they played given the newness of the midfield.

Szoboszlai is gonna take this league by storm in my humble opinion.

Liverpool will have lots of ups and downs this season. Some games they'll look like world beaters then will struggle in games they're expected to win. If teams can put pressure on their defence it looks a little shaky and their midfield needs time to get to know each other. One thing you can't do against them is exactly what Villa did yesterda and play a high defensive line without putting pressure on the ball. Liverpool's front 3 have pace to burn and they have some decent passers of the ball when given the time to play them.
