Player that everybody loves but you think is overrated

Ok, I turned it on , perfect timing for Walker’s goal - best player for England by a mile.

Rashford, Henderson of the ones the red fanboys live for, for some inexplicable reason which is not based on football prowess.

Rice… meh… seems similar to Mount, hyped up but doesn’t do much.

Maguire I think is reasonably ok, as long as he’s not playing with united, ie has a decent teammate around him (eg stones).

Kane, unless he’s got some decent playmakers (eg foden) he’s pretty crap at influencing and winning a game.

But overall I think the prize goes to Southgate, playing Henderson is a fake hype to far, and it’s not down to henderson , he doesn’t force to be picked by any meaningful football sense, unless Southgate needs someone on the pitch to do the bleed in’ obvious pointing… of which Henderson is a master of the bleedin’ obvious.

Rashford is world class. If he was at City he'd get 50 a season. Genuine generational talent.

Saka is the standard bearer for young players across the globe. Holds himself well. Stays on his feet at all times and is a great finisher. Incredibly brave young man as well where penalties are concerned.

Rice is an absolute steal for £105m. He'll be worth £150m by Christmas as he leads the Arsenal to the half way trophy. Big, big talent.

Overrated....

Walker - just runs fast. Personality is questionable.

Haaland - just scores. Has nothing else to his game. Without the goals he doesn't have Rashford's pace or his
MBE, just not in the same conversation as Rashford.

There's so many to chose from from the england squad alone but I'm going for flavour of the month James Maddison. He occasionally looks like a superstar against mediocre opposition when he's got the entire team built around him but he's nowhere near elite level. A decent premier league footballer who has spells of looking better than he is.

There's a reason why spurs or newcastle were his only options this summer when the entire top 6 were looking for midfielders in his mould and he was available on the cheap.

They are the best bit of Bluemoon. Absolutely love them. Don't have my season ticket this season so I'll have even more fun.
 
Ederson. I know he's great with the ball at his feet but he nearly gives me a heart attack several times a game and I don't rate him particularly as a shot stopper.

I've never got it.
