Same here. Plenty of our players gave the ball away a lot 2nd half as there wasn't much on. Playing with 10 isn't really the time to judge him either.

Which goes a long way to explaining why Pearce isn’t involved in the game anymore.

The below was upheld on appeal as a red card so there is literally no other option that could’ve been chosen for Taylor.

Part of the point is the ref should be able to respond to what he sees including the delayed dive and not necessarily blindly follow a rule . Pierce said it should have been a yellow each and move on. This would show the ref has control to both sides.
 
Pleased with the win despite Taylor's efforts to level the playing field but Rodri was stupid for reacting (although there was a bit of needle before the sending off). Forest were lucky in that they could get away with their challenges.
 
Superb win in the end, I thought red was correct card, but fk me they are a dirty load of bastards, what does Cooper do in training learn them how kick the player not the ball.

Agreed, he’s been immense. Can’t have been easy on that right side, had no help from his midfield in front of him. Elanga’s a handful.
 
It’s now or never for Phillips. If Pep doesn’t play him in these next 3 games, he’ll be off in January for sure.

Didn’t do much today to show that he’s got it in him to make it in a City shirt. Hope I’m proved wrong over the next 3 games (that’s if Peo even starts him)
 
I think that is arguably the best win so far, to play half the game with ten men and still not concede. I wasn’t there so I don’t know whether Rodri’s red card was warranted or not, but City did well to keep a clean sheet.
 
We might see a double pivot now with Rodri out , maybe Kovacic and Nunes or Kovacic and Phillips. Might see Pep do what Tuchel did with Kova at Chelsea and have him on the left of a double pivot.

Last season losing Rodri would’ve been a disaster this season we are more than equipped to play without him and not drop significantly

Glad it’s not just me.

The level of criticism he gets on here is embarrassing. More than decent back up. Obviously there is a gulf in him and Rodri but that’s more down to Rodri being a phenomenal player. I worried when Fernandinho left but Rodri has been nothing short of sensational.

Sometimes you need games like today to win and keep a clean sheet was excellent

I think our team all get on so well that when you see lumps of shit being knocked out of your team mates and friends its easy to lose it.I would.

100% warranted but without doubt the best and hardest 3 points so far this season.
 
What was going on on the pitch? It is very odd for our team to lose their calm.
