Wasn’t he an officer? Seems to have no leadership skills at all and craves a platform to further himself.

Not used to be having to answer questions - I remember years ago I did an insurance claim for flood damage outside Salisbury. The lady of the house was very nice if a little horsey and she told me her husband worked away. At one re-visit I met him and I told him we had the plaster off the walls up to 1m and driers were going in. We would meet the cost of drying then once that was complete we could reconvene with contractors to discuss reinstatement. I thought I had sworn at him as he looked shocked.

When it was all done I got a lovely thank you letter signed off with name and rank .... he was C/O of the Royal Signals who were based on Salisbury Plain at the time and I then realised his reaction to what I said was because it had been so long since anyone had told him what to do and what was going to happen.

Mercer came across as the same tonight - couldn't take any back chat at all and talked over anyone who wasn't agreeing with him - as I said earlier he has just finished a political career at a speed that even Johnson will marvel at

His type of leadership based on his forces background is " I am right when I say jump you can only ask how high" - he is the sort of leader who would either tell his men its ok to go over the top coz he would be right behind them OR he would lead over the top look around and find its just him as his men would not follow. Typical self assured public school educated wanker - I hope his constituents see tonight that they are just stepping stones to him..... he doesn't care about them at all.

Not even accurate about health spending... Did she say we're the 6th highest spenders on health care? More like 15th.

You'd think someone would put their hand up and say "What's your connection with all the Tory thinktanks on Tufton Street?"

State spending and total spend are different. Comparing different models is always going to skew outcomes, if we break down a couple of peer countries;

Germany (state) spends ~8.5% of GDP on healthcare with another 4% of GDP spend coming from “private” models

France state ~9.2%, private 3%.

UK the state pays ~12%

So whilst we spend less overall than Germany and France the state covers considerably more.

She gotten way more airtime than she deserves. Along with Farage she pops up on every channel talking shite and patronising anyone left of her views.

Owen Jones tore her a new one on BBC News in the papers review and was subsequently "barred" from appearing again.
 
That **** needs taking out the back and putting down. Trying to use data to defend the shit this government has brought on is an absolute disgrace.

I like this man, yet the **** has a take that it affects him watching it from afar. Another 30p Lee knobhead.

Every fucking week she's either Sky papers/Times News radio or the bastard BBC News channel.
