Old Maine Road photos thread

My old fella and his mate took me in there as a kid sat me on piano, fantastic place carried on going in with mates into the 80s great place. Remember winning match ball in Derby once trouble was we’d been stuffed 0-3 Dad chucked it on fire. :-)
Dad clearly did the right thing!

What's interesting in this picture if not already mentioned, you can see that they have started to remove the terracing of the scoreboard end next to the Kippax, and there is a crane behind Colin and Mikes head. I remember the North Stand being built it was an exciting time.
A couple of years after I started going as a kid, we used to sit in the Platt Lane but dad promised us season tickets in the new North Stand when it was built, as you say exciting times :-),
Dont know if I imagined it but I think the new North Stand was standing for a season before they put the seats in?
