Visiting fans at United seem to be policed completely different to City. The policy at City of getting them away ASAP means the roads are closed causing delays and has the knock on effect of people leaving early to try and beat the road closure at the final whistle. I have a neighbour who goes to the Swamp.and he is always in about an hour before me for a similar length journey. Surprised more isn't made of this policy

By "England's team" I presume he means the time they were our first and only representative in Europe. In those days and probably up to the mid eighties most fans tended to support any English team playing in Europe against foreign clubs. Old Trafford is one of the worst grounds to visit as an away fan. No segregation outside and no protection from police. The police film everything but never intervene to stop violence.
