Our chum Alty has been dropped from the Premier League programme this weekend and has been demoted to refereeing the Preston v Coventry game in the Championship. This follows complaints from Wolves about a controversial penalty he gave for Newcastle against them.

Damn right it was controversial in that it wasn’t a penalty at all. Shows VAR up for the shit show it is because, even though they could play the incident through in slow motion and from ever angle, they still backed up their blind chum out on the field of play.

PGMOL are a laughing stock. Weekly demotions and apologies but then all is forgotten and their cosy little club carries on as if nothing has happened.

The lack of VAR intervention wasn’t Taylor’s fault.

I think most of us can see why a penalty was given initially. What was weird was the lack of scrutiny from VAR, so it should really have been that VAR operative that had the weekend off.

When we wrote a complaint against olivar after that disgraceful dipper game where he and var went blind he got the derby game a couple of weeks later , might have the timing of the derby wrong but point is he didnt get demoted , wolves complain and its a different story

it was Gillette on VAR who fucked up yet he’s reffing forest v villa, so I don’t know why alty is being demoted unless VAR suggested he looked at it and he declined.
